Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how HydrateMe ("we," "our," or "us") handles data collected, processed, and stored through our mobile application, HydrateMe, available on the Google Play Store. We are committed to protecting user privacy and ensuring transparency regarding our app's operational mechanics.

đź”’ Privacy Summary: HydrateMe is designed as a privacy-first utility. Your personal daily water tracking records are stored 100% locally on your own physical device. We do not maintain user registration systems or host remote cloud servers capable of reading your hydration metrics.

1. Local Data Storage & Health Logging

All quantitative and qualitative data inputs configured inside HydrateMe—including but not limited to daily water volume goals, beverage type metrics, individual timestamps, cup configurations, and active notification schedules—are kept isolated within your smartphone’s local sandboxed memory space (via SQLite database frameworks and Shared Preferences).

Because this processing occurs strictly client-side, we can never view, read, or distribute your direct health tracking inputs. Your personal daily history belongs solely to you.

2. Third-Party Advertising and Analytics Data (Google AdMob)

To keep HydrateMe available as a free application, we integrate third-party monetization tools via the Google AdMob SDK. Although we do not independently gather tracking records, the AdMob SDK may programmatically process certain peripheral technical markers to deliver relevant ad placements, calculate localized pricing models, and monitor security anti-fraud metrics.

The data parameters evaluated by Google AdMob typically include:

You can read more about how Google handles this data by reviewing the Google Privacy & Terms Policy.

3. Regional Regulatory Compliance & User Choice

A. European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (GDPR)

For users browsing from the EEA or the United Kingdom, HydrateMe implements Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to obtain express, unambiguous consent before processing personalized ad networks. You retain the complete right to alter, modify, or fully rescind this permission protocol at any moment via the App Settings menu.

B. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not swap or sell your personal health records for capital or proprietary gains. To manage or restrict structural device tracking parameters leveraged by AdMob, you can modify your system-level settings on your Android terminal by accessing Settings > Privacy > Ads > Reset or Delete Advertising ID.

4. Data Deletion and Retention Rights

Because your structural tracking properties reside wholly on your localized filesystem, you possess complete autonomous authority over retention. If you desire to completely expunge all history logs, logs may be cleanly wiped at any moment by navigating to your native Android Settings layout, selecting Apps > HydrateMe > Storage, and pressing "Clear Data" or by performing a standard application uninstallation.

5. Updates to This Policy

We may periodically update this compliance text to match evolving platform requirements or security architectures. Any modifications will be indicated by adjusting the "Effective Date" at the top of this documentation page.

6. Contact Channels
